Responsibilities

• Deliver material to customer job sites
• Build loads for delivery and unload freight, including lumber and building supplies
• Operate a forklift (training and certification provided)
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
• Communicate delays or discrepancies with management
• Other duties as assigned

Key skills for this role include communication, time management, and forklift operation. You must keep management informed of any delays or issues.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand traffic signs, and complete reports
• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
• Provide an annual copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations, as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
• Meet physical qualifications to drive a commercial motor vehicle under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act regulations
• Not be disqualified from driving a commercial motor vehicle under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act regulations
• Complete or have completed a driver's road test and hold a valid certificate, or its equivalent, per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act requirements
• Possess a high school diploma or GED

Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may also be required to have:

• A commercial motor vehicle license
• A valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card
