Delivery Driver/ Labourer

Responsibilities

• Carry out driving work on a 3.5t vehicle, delivering to JGL construction sites and performing yard preparation duties.
• Deliver plant and materials to construction sites safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle to a high standard and report defects immediately.
• Control and secure plant and materials with signed delivery confirmations.
• Report damage, loss, and yard issues promptly to line management.
• Aid in maintaining the yard to a high standard of organization and safety.
• Perform labour work in the yard as required.
• Ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and paperwork as per training and briefings.
• Understand and follow specific critical processes such as 'Orsett HQ Yard Movements Procedure' and 'Out Of Hours Access Procedure', including associated 'Permit to Leave' and 'Permit to Access' forms.
• Be flexible for ad hoc service support needs as required by the Yard Supervisor.

Requirements

• Full driving license.
• Experience working in a site or yard environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
• Experience operating different aspects of construction plant equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Training to expand product knowledge.

Skills

• Understanding of 'Orsett HQ Yard Movements Procedure' and 'Out Of Hours Access Procedure'.
