Delivery Driver- CDL Required

About the Role

This position is accountable for the delivery of pre-sold products to customers’ locations throughout servicing counties. This is a front-line role working directly with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Check in with Delivery Supervisor daily upon arrival and review any special instructions for the day.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections of the vehicle, following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure proper vehicle registration, insurance documents, and accident kits are present in the vehicle.
• Leave the warehouse at the appointed time and deliver required products to locations as specified by the order in a safe and timely manner.
• Follow the delivery schedule unless authorized deviations by the Sales Manager or Delivery Manager/Supervisor.
• When assigned a Delivery Driver Assistant, review daily tasks with them and ensure they perform their duties as instructed.
• Notify the Delivery Supervisor of any issues or needs.
• Deliver merchandise and off-load items using company-provided equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Maintain personal productivity and quality standards.
• Follow systems and procedures outlined in training by the Delivery Manager and Delivery Supervisors.
• Swap product per company and supplier procedures as it relates to code dates.
• Complete all required documents pertaining to delivery, pick-up, and DOT regulations.
• At each account, check all product dates, rotate wells, windows, back stock, and displays per company and suppliers’ procedures as it relates to expiration dates.
• Handle swaps per company procedures.
• Build displays per Account Manager request.
• Ensure coolers and back stock are clean and organized.
• Clean up all trash at the account and dispose of it properly.

Requirements

• Safely operate delivery vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
• Handle all associated Encompass transactions, including the collection of payments and signatures.
• Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures.
