About the Role
The Delivery Driver – Box Truck will provide superior customer service through safe, effective, and timely delivery of parts and tires to Pep Boys stores. This position involves safely operating a 26 ft. box delivery truck of less than three tons, ensuring loads are stacked, padded, and properly secured. The role may also include assisting with distribution center or hub operational activities when deliveries are not scheduled. Deliveries may occur after store hours. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the delivery truck in compliance with all state, county, and local laws, and report any accidents, incidents, violations, or traffic citations.
- Ensure all delivery loads are stacked, padded, and properly secured.
- Verify load accuracy against the Bill of Lading and acquire appropriate signatures.
- Load and unload tires and parts using hand tools and a pallet jack.
- Communicate effectively with store associates and management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with no DUIs.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience driving delivery trucks of less than three tons.
- Ability to maintain a driving record that meets federal, state, and company standards.
- Hazmat and/or forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to read instructions, policies, procedures, bills of lading, and product descriptions.
- Ability to complete written forms.
- Successful completion of a drug screen.

Physical Demands
- Frequently lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.

- Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
- Climb up and down ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise.
- Effectively communicate in person, by telephone, or using telecommunications equipment.
- Enter and locate information on a computer.
- Visually verify information, often in small print.

Pay
Pay range: $20.79 to $26.40 per hour based on experience.
