Delivery Driver

About the role

Parts Authority is seeking Delivery Drivers to represent the company in daily client interactions. This is a full-time position with career advancement opportunities in a rapidly expanding national distributor of automotive replacement parts, tools/equipment, and transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Ensure orders are properly fulfilled, charges are correct, and customers are satisfied.
• Load, transport, and deliver items in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to confirm completeness and accuracy.
• Follow directions from dispatchers, use route navigation apps, and adjust routes as needed to deliver packages on time.
• Assist with loading and unloading items without interfering with customer operations.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), reconcile debt and credit, and manage collected moneys.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicles and report issues to management.
• Assist with other store/warehouse duties (stocking, parts pulling) as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets as required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years or older to meet company insurance requirements.
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (75 pounds for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers).
• Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
• Ability to use a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture.
• Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule with availability for overtime as needed.
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.

Pay

Minimum USD $16.90 per hour.
