Responsibilities
- Pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
- Ensure orders are properly fulfilled and customers are satisfied.
- Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, follow time schedules, use route navigation apps, and maintain a safe driving record.
- Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns from customers.
- Absorb and utilize a tablet or mobile device for purposes of navigation, route optimization, and customer interface/signature capture.
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at customer's place of business.
- Accept payments, prepare reports, reconcile debt and credit, and collect all moneys related to deliveries.
- Complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle and notify manager of any issues.
- Assist in any and all other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
- Maintain and promote workplace safety.
- Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
Qualifications
- Current, valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, prolonged sitting (for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers, must be able to lift 75 lbs).
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in the "Knowledge, Skills and Abilities" section.
- Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
