About the role

As a Delivery Driver, you will be the company representative interacting with clients daily. This role offers full-time employment, great pay and benefits, and opportunities for advancement within a stable and growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, and use route navigation apps or alternative routes to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with customer operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), reconcile debt and credit, and manage all moneys collected related to deliveries.
  • Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify management of any issues.
  • Assist with other store/warehouse duties (stocking, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.

Requirements

  • Current, valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over).
  • Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must lift 75 lbs).
  • Prolonged sitting during deliveries.

Skills

  • Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
  • Proficiency in using a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture.
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and with tact.
  • Ability to take and follow directions and work well as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.

Pay

Starting at $15.00/hour.
