Delivery Driver

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated driver who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment. As a Driver at Ole & Steen you will be responsible for proper delivery of products from our commissary (located in Maspeth, Queens) to our stores in throughout NYC daily. You will be responsible for reviewing all orders prior to delivery with the commissary leadership team to make sure everything is correct. Along with that you will load an unload the trucks and obtain necessary signatures once the products have been received in the local stores. Once deliveries are complete you will return to the commissary and give management the delivery paperwork to be checked and filed away. You will then prepare for your next delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review all orders prior to delivery with the commissary leadership team to ensure accuracy.
• Load and unload trucks and obtain necessary signatures upon product receipt.
• Return to the commissary to provide management with delivery paperwork for checking and filing.
• Prepare for the next delivery.
• Perform daily truck safety checks and maintenance walk-throughs.
• Track temperature logs, daily gas/mileage logs, and maintain a break log during deliveries.
• Ensure all deliveries are made safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Valid Class driver's license.
• Experience driving trucks with air brakes (required).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Follow thoroughly company procedures according to health and safety standards.
