Delivery Driver

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts weekly maintenance checks utilizing the vehicle maintenance form to record safety and functionality of assigned vehicle.
  • Maintain assigned vehicles cleanliness (interior & exterior) in accordance with company policy.
  • Accurately pick up and package orders to fulfill customers' requests.
  • Communicate accuracy of orders to sales personnel and/or customer.
  • Plan route for efficient delivery while maintaining positive customer expectations.
  • Ensure all orders are delivered safely and accurately to customer.
  • Act as an extension of the organization and promote goods and services while building customer relations.
  • Collect, secure, and properly document payment for all orders delivered.
  • Assist with stocking, pulling, and other business errands as needed when primary tasks are completed.
  • Assist in answering phones when needed.

Requirements

  • Business Skills: Demonstrated strong set of business skills including prioritizing and completing tasks within timeframes, anticipating and meeting customer needs, cooperating with others, and demonstrating initiative.
  • Qualifications and Other Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Valid drivers license and ability to operate motor vehicles required. Must maintain a safe driving record.

Physical Requirements

  • Mobile: Ability to move easily in and out of the truck, bend, lift, and climb in and out of the cargo area.
  • Vision: Good eyesight and visual acuity.
  • Hearing: Good hearing to be alert to sounds such as sirens, horns, or other warning signals on the road.
  • Manual Dexterity: Good manual dexterity to operate vehicle's controls.
  • Lifting: Occasionally lift and carry moderate-weight objects.
