Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate delivery of orders to designated locations
• Ensuring safety practices are followed in a courteous and professional manner
• Works closely with the Commissary to ensure high-quality food delivery
• Loads/unloads truck, assists in inventory and stocking of supplies
• Maintains a clean and safe vehicle, removing trash regularly
• Drives safely and courteously, following all laws and company policies
• Affords assistance in restocking and replenishing products and supplies
• Performs cross-functional duties of coworkers for service and coverage
• Maintains professional relationships with coworkers, vendors, and the public
• Addresses safety concerns with management and ensures overall safety
• Completes and complies with Departmental Checklists and SOP’s
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid, current Driver’s License (no more than four points on current State Driving Record)
• Work experience in vehicle deliveries service
• Maintains current knowledge of safe and healthy practices for food handling and preparation; obtains ServSafe Certification as directed
• Demonstrated knowledge of local driving area
• Demonstrated customer service experience working with the general public, addressing public concerns and complaints
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other employees, exercising tact and professionalism in all matters
• Physical demands: speak, hear, see, sit and/or stand for long periods, walk frequently, use full reach and range of motion in arms, hands and fingers, manual dexterity, gross motor skills, bimanual dexterity, fine motor skills, bend, stoop, kneel, carry, push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to adhere to regular and routine attendance, work evenings and/or weekends and holidays, maintain a satisfactory and required attendance, punctuality, and ability to work flexible schedules
