Delivery Driver

Overview

Marczyk Fine Foods is a world-class neighborhood market committed to excellence. Drivers transport and deliver goods between the Marczyk Culinary Center and various retail locations, local restaurants, and the airport. This role involves dynamic tasks such as maintaining vehicle cleanliness, assisting with store chores, and performing will-call runs. Drivers must meet tight delivery timelines while upholding high standards of professionalism and teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Timely deliveries between the Culinary Center and retail locations and/or airport
• Timely delivery of wholesale products to local accounts with exceptional hospitality and professionalism
• Represent Marczyk Fine Foods in all interactions, both inside and outside the company
• Adhere to food handling and storage regulations during deliveries
• Manage orderly loading and unloading processes, securing the van and its contents
• Drive safely in all weather conditions, managing snow removal when necessary
• Communicate effectively with multiple departments to ensure proper item loading, transportation, and unloading
• Handle paperwork for product transfers
• Monitor and maintain Vans: refueling, washing, cleaning, documenting incidents, and addressing mechanical or other issues
• Think critically to meet delivery deadlines
• Deliver high-quality products with integrity
• Ensure department security and safety
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
• Work with the culinary director to monitor equipment and ensure good working order
• Communicate professionally with crew members and vendors
• Take feedback constructively and cooperate with management and colleagues to improve operations and financial results
• Comply with health department standards, guidelines, and regulations
• Handle work stress professionally and positively

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean driving record and background check
• Experience in delivery driver roles preferred
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions
• Able to evaluate vehicle readiness
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally
• Ability to work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and ability to handle work stress
