Delivery Driver

Full-time position.

Pay

$22–25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Drive a straight truck along a daily delivery route.
• Deliver customers’ furniture including assembly and installation when required.
• Inspect furniture for flaws or damage.
• Resolve customer complaints by working with the Customer Care department.
• Inspect and clean the company vehicle to keep it presentable and functioning.
• Unpackage, assemble, and prepare furniture for transport in customer vehicles, ensuring furniture is adequately wrapped in protective materials and properly tied down.
• Inspect furniture for damage and flaws to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Must be working towards or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Licenses: Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record; must be able to pass a D.O.T. Medical Physical.
• Experience: 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Physical Demands: High physical demands; regularly required to stand for sustained periods; lift, push, and pull up to 150 pounds individually and up to 300 pounds as part of a team; occasionally ascend and descend ladders and stairs safely; may be required to work safely from heights; must adhere to safe lifting techniques, follow proper training for job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participate in departmental stretching program, and maintain a safe working environment.
