About the role
Reporting to the Driver Supervisor, you will be a vital member of our distribution department, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries of aftermarket collision auto parts to customers. In addition to delivery duties, you will collect payments, maintain positive customer relationships, and uphold vehicle safety and maintenance standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a Sprinter van to deliver aftermarket collision auto parts to customers' specified locations.
- Follow delivery routes to optimize efficiency and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Handle and load auto parts with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify the accuracy of delivered items against the invoice and report any discrepancies.
- Collect payments from customers upon delivery, following company guidelines and protocols.
- Handle cash and checks securely and report any payment issues or discrepancies.
- Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, addressing inquiries and concerns or escalating issues as needed.
- Conduct daily inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure proper working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fueling, cleaning, and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while driving.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery routes, payment transactions, and mileage.
- Submit delivery and payment reports as required.
- Perform regular vehicle safety checks and report any issues immediately.
- Safely load and unload auto parts using proper lifting techniques and secure items within the vehicle.
- Use safety equipment, such as gloves and safety glasses, as appropriate.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy automotive parts, often weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during loading and unloading.

- Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch while handling auto parts or performing vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency in handling and counting cash, checks, and receipts accurately.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as collecting payments and filling out documentation.
- Adequate vision to read maps, GPS devices, and complete paperwork accurately.
- Sufficient hearing to communicate effectively and respond to auditory cues while driving.
- Maintain balance and coordination while moving around the delivery vehicle.
- Good overall physical health to meet job demands, including physical endurance for extended hours.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and recognize potential hazards.
