Delivery Driver

About the Role

Provide customers with timely, courteous food delivery while upholding professional conduct and safety standards. Drivers must ensure all deliveries arrive on time, complete, and in excellent condition.

Schedule

This is a part-time seasonal position anticipated to last through the end of 2026, supporting increased holiday workload. Hours fluctuate based on client order volume, with anticipated needs of 1-2 days per week in September 2026, increasing in October-December. Ideal candidates will be available Tuesday through Saturday, primarily in afternoons and evenings. Highly desirable candidates are available 7 days per week between 6 am and 6 pm. Additional work hours, flexible scheduling, and training/education hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely arrival of all deliveries with a tidy, professional appearance for both driver and vehicle.
• Provide customers with error-free deliveries and verify their satisfaction before leaving.
• Maintain presentation quality of all foods during transport.
• Verify order completeness and readiness before departure.
• Keep your phone with you at all times during deliveries.
• Load vehicle and confirm all products are present; notify manager of departure.
• Drive safely, park legally, and bring necessary equipment slips.
• Maintain tidy, sanitary workstations and comply with all safety, sanitation, and training certification requirements.
• Follow all company policies (breaks, paper products, meals, dress code, phone policy).
• Attend and participate in continuing education and certification classes.

Requirements

• 5 years of previous driving experience.
• Current Food Handler certification.
• Customer service experience.
• Current, valid Driver’s License.
• Valid car insurance.
• Clean driving record for the past 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• At least 1 year of customer service, delivery, or food service experience.

Work Environment

• Includes working in refrigerated areas and on wet, slippery surfaces.
• Moderate noise levels.
• Exposure to dust, mold, gluten, fragrances, airborne particles, fresh produce, house plants, flowers, and commercial cleaning agents.
• Frequent handwashing required.

Physical Demands

• Consistently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist, and turn.
• Frequent fine finger manipulations and repetitive motions with hands and feet.
• Occasionally required to stoop, climb ladders, or stepstools.
• May require sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs as needed.
• Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Work requires medium to high physical strength.
• Consistently required to use near and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.
