About the role
We offer pizza delivery, carryout, and dine-in services. We take pride in our products and service while fostering a fun, family-friendly work environment. As part of our team, you’ll ensure product accuracy, deliver orders safely and courteously, and support restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pizzas to customers’ homes, following proper procedures and providing quality service through positive, professional interactions in person or by phone.
- Safely interact with customers at their homes and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Receive and process telephone orders, execute credit transactions, and make bank deposits as needed.
- Work as part of a team: arrive on time, support other workstations, complete closing duties (including cleaning), and contribute to a positive, energetic atmosphere.
- Navigate delivery areas using maps, locate addresses, and handle deliveries in multi-story buildings, private homes, and other sites while carrying products.
- Operate equipment, clean the facility daily, and perform other workstation duties (e.g., making pizzas, preparing ingredients, taking orders).
- Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) quickly and accurately, make correct change, and process orders using a computer or touchscreen.
- Stock ingredients, take inventory, and complete associated paperwork.
- Safely operate a motor vehicle, deliver flyers and door hangers, and comply with Domino’s uniform, appearance, and operations standards, as well as all applicable laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle record, proof of insurance, and a satisfactory vehicle for deliveries.
- Ability to work scheduled or unscheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
- Cross-trained to perform duties across multiple workstations as needed.
- Bilingual skills may be required in certain markets.
Physical Demands
- Standing: Most tasks are performed standing, with walking surfaces including ceramic tile and linoleum. Work surfaces range from 28" to 48" in height.
- Walking: Short distances for brief durations.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Deliveries may include cases of ingredients/supplies weighing up to 50 lbs, lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying: Items like 3-lb cans, 30-lb pizza sauce, and trays of dough (12 lbs per tray) over short distances.
- Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force).
- Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs or maintenance.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and while stocking ingredients.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally required for stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.
- Reaching: Continuous reaching (up, down, forward) for tasks like operating oven controls, stocking shelves, or answering phones.
- Hand Tasks: Frequent use of hands for shaping dough, handling pizza peels, assembling boxes, and operating equipment (e.g., pizza cutter, touchscreen).
- Tools/Equipment: Use of pencils, computers, phones, calculators, pizza cutters, and peels.
- Environmental Exposure: Varying weather conditions (e.g., removing trash), in-store temperatures (36°F–90°F+), food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces (e.g., walk-in cooler), hot surfaces (up to 500°F), sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
- Sensory Requirements: Talking/hearing on the phone, near/mid-range vision, depth perception, and ability to differentiate hot/cold surfaces.
- Temperament: Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, interact with customers, and make judgments/decisions.
