Delivery Driver
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Runner/Delivery Driver to join our team in the Bay Area. Responsibilities
- Provide reliable delivery service of materials from company offices, jobsites, and supply houses by following written and routine delivery instructions
- Practice safe driving habits, following all traffic rules and regulations
- Take orders over the phone or through text message
- Work quickly and efficiently
- Follow direction and complete tasks with little to no supervision
- Effectively communicate with coworkers, management, and suppliers
Requirements
- Required to possess and maintain a valid, clean California Driver's License (Commercial Driver's License not required)
- Required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Available for overtime on weekdays and weekends if needed
- Physical requirements: lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, standing, driving for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of driving experience
- Towing experience is preferred
- Comfortable driving a company vehicle, usually a truck or van, for long periods of time in various conditions
- Clear, respectful, and effective communication/interactions with internal and external personnel
- Proficient with smartphones, reading maps, familiarity with GPS devices, map apps, and efficient routing
- Able to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively
