Delivery Driver
About the role
DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Delivery Driver and Warehouse position in our Columbus, Ohio location. The Delivery Driver and Warehouse position will be responsible for pick-up of equipment and/or material from our shop or supply house with delivery of equipment and material to various job sites.
Responsibilities
- Ensure delivery vehicle is in a safe operating condition by completing the pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
- Verify accuracy of all equipment picked up or delivered using PO and Job Number.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment in the cab as well as outside of vehicle; ensure gates and lift gate are secure to the vehicle; wash vehicle as necessary.
- When not in use, all straps and blocking materials, tools, and equipment are to be safely stowed in their proper place.
- Comply with all safe driving rules and traffic laws.
- Ensure that the materials on the truck are secure, properly strapped and blocked.
- Ensure that all paperwork is in vehicle when handling hazardous material.
- Perform material, tools and equipment pickup at suppliers for delivery to either the shop or jobsite.
- Ensure that all deliveries arrive in a timely manner.
- End of the day: make sure all delivery packaging is discarded in the proper container and all paperwork is turned in (pick-up/delivery receipts, pre/post trip inspections).
- Wear complete DeBra-Kuempel uniform (PPE) with necessary badges or identification.
- Keep shop clean and materials/tools organized.
- Notify proper staff of any vehicle maintenance issues.
- Assist with warehouse duties when needed along with odd jobs around office area.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Hold a valid CDL A driver’s license (optional).
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean MVR.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
Schedule
Work hours: 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday – Friday (additional hours when necessary).

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms. Physical activities include, but are not limited to, standing, walking, balancing and climbing stairs/ladders. The employee regularly lifts and/or moves items up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel to job sites within the servicing territory assigned by the company.
Work Environment
Field environments may vary based on project or weather conditions, including working at heights over 50 feet in varying weather conditions. Weather conditions range from summer heat to below freezing in the winter and include wind, snow, rain and hot sun. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with towing trailers.
- Experience operating a fork truck (training will be provided if no experience).
