Delivery Driver

About the role

We are hiring immediately for full-time non-CDL drivers in Danville, IL. The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team, loading furniture and delivering safely to customers’ homes or office spaces. You will also assemble furniture for the customer and ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Start your day at our warehouse to review your route, safety topics, and more with the operations team
• Drive a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate to customers’ homes or offices
• Unload, deliver, and install furniture while interacting with customers
• Assist in the warehouse as needed, including loading and unloading furniture

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
• Minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle (1 year preferred)
• Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs, and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
• Compliance with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
• Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, including passing a physical and drug screening
• Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
• Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards

Pay

$19-$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Some flexibility or overtime may be required.
