About the Role

The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and accurately delivering materials from the company warehouse to customer job sites using various company vehicles. This role includes unloading materials at job sites, returning unused or damaged materials to the warehouse, and assisting with general facility maintenance during non-delivery hours.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and professionally operate company vehicles, including pick-up trucks, vans, trailers, and box trucks.
  • Deliver materials, tools, and supplies to job locations in a timely manner.
  • Remove and transfer scrap/recycling to designated sites, including accepting payments for recycled material.
  • Maintain inventory items assigned to delivery vehicles in good working order.
  • Assist in unloading raw materials such as aluminum, steel, and glass, which may be packaged in bulk or loose form.
  • Assist in loading finished materials and supplies onto trucks and/or trailers.
  • Receive deliveries of materials, such as glass, at the warehouse.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within delivery and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure proper load securement, weight distribution, and safe material handling practices for outbound and return shipments.
  • Conduct routine safety checks of vehicles, trailers, and loading processes.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Report and address hazards, incidents, and near misses promptly.

Requirements

  • 3-6 months of related job experience and/or training.
  • Valid driver’s license with no moving violations in the previous 36 months and no major violations (e.g., DUI or leaving the scene of an accident) in the previous 60 months.
  • Ability to obtain a PennDOT medical card (required).
  • Good communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in a warehouse environment with regular coordination with field operations. The role involves exposure to varying warehouse conditions and active work sites, combining administrative coordination with physical material handling. Strict adherence to safety protocols and required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Candidates with an existing medical card to drive box trucks or a CDL have the opportunity to earn additional compensation. This is a physically demanding position.
