Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-foot straight truck for local deliveries and pickups
• Use motorized pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks and dollies to load and unload goods at various customer locations
• Accurately handle delivery paperwork, including invoices, receipts, manifests, utilizing a tablet or mobile device
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure a high level of service. Address customer inquiries and ensure satisfaction during deliveries
• Perform routine maintenance and basic upkeep of the truck, ensuring it remains safe working condition. Report any mechanical issues or required repairs to management
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols. Maintain a clean driving record and ensure the vehicle is properly secured and loaded before transit

Requirements

• Valid Class C Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Experience driving a 26-foot straight truck is preferred
• Familiarity with the use of tablets/technology
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as well as work in various conditions

Qualifications

• Prior experience in delivery or logistics preferred
• Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and upkeep
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
