Delivery Driver

Betts Truck Parts & Service is a family-owned company specializing in parts and service work for suspensions, brakes, wheel ends, and more on a variety of vehicles. With over 155 years in business, we operate 8 locations on the West Coast, offering truck repair services including laser alignments, steering and drivetrain repairs, Bendix retrofit anti-collision safety system installation, DOT and BIT inspections, and more.

About the role

Our Phoenix branch is seeking a Delivery Driver to provide face-to-face delivery service to customers and perform warehousing activities. In this fast-paced role, you will drive trucks over established routes to deliver and sell products, collect payments, and maintain delivery records. The branch operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to deliver parts to customers' places of business.
• Check the load before leaving for a delivery route.
• Obtain customer signatures upon delivery and collect payment if necessary.
• Maintain delivery records of sales and parts delivered.
• Maintain company vehicle to standards, including cleaning, inspecting, and completing repair paperwork.
• Follow operational procedures for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Check in and unload all incoming shipments (including UPS) and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Place stock on shelves, racks, or designated locations.
• Fill customer orders for delivery, will call, or shipment.
• Maintain warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion, ensuring inventory is in proper bin locations.
• Inspect the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment.
• Coordinate warehouse activities with other functions such as sales and deliveries.
• Direct salvage of damaged or used material, including cores.
• Inspect all cores coming in from deliveries to ensure they are acceptable.
• Prepare core returns by current standards.
• Enter bin locations for products without current bin assignments.
• Complete daily cycle counts and process negative inventory reports and corrections as needed.
• Assist or load vehicles for deliveries.
• Complete paperwork associated with all warehouse transactions.

Requirements

• Over the age of 21 with a valid Driver's License.
• No motor vehicle violations in the last 24 months.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and non-DOT physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be authorized and eligible to work in the USA upon hiring.
