Delivery Driver

Best-One Tire & Service in Oak Grove is looking for a dependable Delivery Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck less than 26,000 pounds (CDL not required).
• Pick up, drive, deliver, and unload orders per daily designated routes.
• Provide customer service: deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check number or other payment method on invoice, and handle customer complaints.
• Monitor the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre & Post Trip Inspection checklist for each trip.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Interface with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving, and putting away product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.
• Ability to pass a state Department of Transportation medical exam.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Some distribution supply experience preferred.
• Some computer skills preferred; data entry skills a plus.
• Commitment to service beyond customer expectations.
• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and complete instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
• Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
• Sitting/driving for extended periods of time.
• Able to read tickets and perform listed work.
• Work in an environment that is not climate controlled; temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
• Vision requirements: near, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Sense of sound for alarms, horns, and motorized equipment.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves.

Pay

$22/hr depending on experience.
