About the Role
The Pick-up and Delivery (P&D) Driver serves as a valuable member of the team and represents the company in a professional manner. This role is responsible for delivering supplies and equipment to specified locations following a prepared schedule, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Deliver supplies and equipment to designated locations using a prepared schedule.
- Walk distances, stand for periods of time, climb stairs, bend, kneel, pull, push, stoop, reach, and carry multiple items, including lifting at least 50 lbs.
- Install, mount, dismount, assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Use protective gear to safeguard against exposure to chemicals, dust, oils, grit, grime, frayed cords, wires, and other hazardous conditions.
- Review delivery orders using Inventory Sheets prior to leaving the warehouse and ensure complete delivery of supplies/equipment.
- Complete Inventory Sheets at each location and return them to the office daily.
- Organize supplies and/or equipment at drop-off locations, note any issues (e.g., broken equipment, laundry inconsistencies), and report concerns to supervisors.
- Inspect closets and storage locations for supplies, equipment, and chemicals; log findings and perform physical inventory counts at each visit.
- Transport soiled items to and from laundering facilities for special cleaning.
- Inspect equipment at each location, log information, and prepare reports for weekly meetings.
- Return broken equipment to the warehouse, document returns with correct identification and location numbers, and deliver replacement equipment as scheduled.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections for the Rock Solid Fleet, including checking fuel and fluid levels, and report any concerns or needed repairs.
- Assist with organizing equipment and supplies in the warehouse, including setting up new contracts and taking down ending contracts.
- Wash and dry dirty rags and mopheads collected from buildings using the warehouse washer and dryer.
- Deliver and pick up dirty mopheads to/from the laundromat for laundering.
- Return to the office by 4:30 pm to offload the vehicle, submit completed paperwork, and store returned supplies and equipment in appropriate locations.
- Leave completed Inventory Sheets in the supply inbox and return the assigned phone and keys to the office.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and insurable status.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
- Efficiency, organization, and ability to follow directions.
- Adaptability to scheduling changes and ability to accept constructive criticism.
- Motivation to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Pass a state criminal background check.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (schedule may be adjusted to accommodate weekends off).
