Responsibilities

• Operate all store equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage and work areas.
• Prepare products and receive/process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility on a daily basis.
• Use navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle for delivery use.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly.
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for precise, rapid movements.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work environment

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash or performing outside tasks.
• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F or above in some areas.
• Sudden temperature changes in work areas and while outside.
• Fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters including the walk-in cooler.
• Hot surfaces and tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Physical requirements

• Standing for most tasks; walking for short distances on surfaces such as ceramic tile, brick, and linoleum.
• Sitting for paperwork completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting bulk deliveries (cases up to 50 lbs, 3′ x 1.5′) from the floor and stacking up to 72″ high using a hand truck.
• Carrying items such as large cans (3 lbs 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray, three at a time).
• Pushing/pulling trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force.
• Infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing sign prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance.
