About the Role
This position involves delivering products to customers within a designated area, as well as performing various in-store tasks to support store operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment and handle delivery vehicles.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Deliver pizzas and other products to customers within a designated delivery area.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
- Basic math skills for making correct monetary change and performing quick calculations.
- Motor coordination for rapid and accurate movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

- Eye-hand coordination for tasks such as shaping pizza dough and using a pizza peel.
- Ability to grasp and manipulate tools, including pizza cutters, pizza peels, and cardboard boxes.

Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks or deliveries.
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler areas to 90°F or above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and fumes.
- Cramped quarters, including walk-in coolers.
- Hot surfaces and tools, with oven temperatures up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations, including travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table in an office.
- Lifting: Deliveries include cases weighing up to 50 pounds, lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying: Items such as large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray). During delivery, carry pizzas and beverages while navigating stairs or climbing.
- Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies, requiring a force of up to 7.5 pounds.
- Climbing: Navigating stairs or ladders for tasks such as changing prices, washing walls, or performing maintenance. Delivery may require climbing five or more flights of stairs.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist, particularly at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and when stocking ingredients.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally performed to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuous reaching in all directions, including above 72" for tasks such as turning on/off oven controls or changing prices.
- Hand Tasks: Frequent and forceful use of hands, forearms, and wrists for tasks such as shaping dough, using a pizza peel, and assembling pizza boxes.
