About the role

The Delivery Coordinator (Delco) is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products and communicating statuses and delivery plans to Customer Service Representatives and the Delivery Assurance Manager. They serve as the main point of contact for internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct internal and external customer orders through the manufacturing process.
  • Respond to delivery-related or product-related inquiries as needed, including direct communication with plant operations, shipping, and quality.
  • Daily engage with the Delivery Assurance Manager to identify delivery risks, barriers, and status.
  • Identify and participate in resolution of process flow routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely completion (e.g., horse blankets, LOB, etc.), communicate clear and timely status through tools to upstream customers.
  • Work closely with site operations to ensure stable workflow of orders, priorities, and stock management (e.g., stable workflow, work order issues, holds).
  • Schedule production when required, using site scheduling tools to set clear schedules, adhering to capacity and specific site limitations.
  • Work closely with the Master Schedulers, Materials Managers, and Central Planning Manager to ensure timely release and correct flow of production orders.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions in delivery clinics to identify root cause and prioritize corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.
  • Candidates without a high school diploma or equivalency must take a pre-employment assessment to be considered.
  • Background in manufacturing environment and Bachelor's degree preferred, Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college in business, engineering, or materials management required with a minimum of 4 years' customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry.
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college in business, engineering, or materials management required with a minimum of 6 years' customer service experience in aerospace manufacturing or closely related industry.
  • Education and experiences as described above.

  • Uses Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience with Access software is desired.
  • Effectively presents information, responds to questions in one-on-one and group environments
  • Proven understanding of process flows, lead-times, and lean principles in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of all Production Control functions
  • Able to learn each product line’s capabilities and limitations
  • Technical skills and understanding of machinery and shop floor terminology

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds
