Delivery Consultant - Cloud Security

About the role

The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

In this role, you'll work closely with customers to implement, automate, and manage AWS solutions to protect customer assets, enable customer security teams to operate more effectively, and ensure customers don’t accept unnecessary risk.

Responsibilities

• Solve technical problems independently
• Collaborate with others to define and implement solutions
• Escalate risks with options, impact, and recommended solutions
• Implement, automate, and manage scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery

Requirements

• Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services
• Experience in at least one technology domain
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
• Experience in application security architecture, security code reviews, security testing, incident response, or security infrastructure
• AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
• AWS Professional level certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g. Terraform, Python)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience, or degree in advanced technology
• 3+ years of integration, testing and automation experience
