Delivery Consultant - Cloud Security
About the role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
In this role, you'll work closely with customers to implement, automate, and manage AWS solutions to protect customer assets, enable customer security teams to operate more effectively, and ensure customers don’t accept unnecessary risk.
Responsibilities
- Solve technical problems independently
- Collaborate with others to define and implement solutions
- Escalate risks with options, impact, and recommended solutions
- Implement, automate, and manage scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current security capabilities, and develop and implement optimized security controls in AWS
- Is an established expert in at least 1 technology domain
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
Requirements
- 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience, or degree in advanced technology
- 3+ years of integration, testing and automation experience
Qualifications
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
- Experience in application security architecture, security code reviews, security testing, incident response, or security infrastructure
- AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
- AWS Professional level certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g. Terraform, Python)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
