Delivery Assistant

About the role

The Delivery Assistant position is a physical, fast-paced role that provides direct support to a McLane Delivery Driver. This position does not involve driving the delivery truck but involves assisting the driver with various tasks.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailer using a hand truck or 2-wheeled dolly.
• Place all delivery items in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.
• Aid the Driver in ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to lift and move product and pallets weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.
• Must be able to follow safety protocols and communicate effectively.
