Delivery Assistant

About the role

The Delivery Assistant position at McLane is a physical, fast-paced role that supports McLane Delivery Drivers. This position does not involve driving the delivery truck but involves unloading trailers, placing deliveries in designated storage areas, and assisting drivers in ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailer using a hand truck or 2-wheeled dolly.
• Place all delivery items in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.
• Aid the Driver's efforts to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift and move product and pallets weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.
• Must be safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated.

• Pay Rate: $26.44 per hour.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 3rd shift, overnight schedule.

Pay

$26.44 per hour.
