About the Role
This position assists with delivery and warehouse activities, including loading/unloading trucks and delivering merchandise to customers' homes or businesses.
Responsibilities
- Places stock on shelves or racks and sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays.
- Performs general maintenance and grounds keeping duties for warehouse and/or store.
- Unloads merchandise from warehouse and freight trucks.
- Ensures safe operations of vehicles by assisting delivery truck drivers with directing trucks into unloading areas.
- Records deliveries on delivery record and submits to appropriate management.
- Loads truck in preparation for daily deliveries; assists with delivery, unloading, and set-up.
- Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Assists with repossessions of goods.
- Assembles merchandise as required.
- Performs customer service inspections and repairs as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness of store/warehouse interior and grounds and upholds the company’s Delivery Standards.

- Assists in other store departments as required.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Junior High School Diploma.
- Six months of experience in distribution, warehouse environment, shipping/receiving, or delivering merchandise; or any combination of training, experience, and education that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

- Equipment & Tools: Ability to operate equipment, machinery, tools, and materials requiring complex and rapid adjustments.
- Verbal Aptitude: Ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and descriptive data.
- Mathematical Aptitude: Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculate decimals or fractions.
- Functional Reasoning: Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions with some latitude for independent judgment.
- Situational Reasoning: Ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in repetitive or short-cycle operations.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical Ability: Tasks require heavy physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 100 pounds (occasionally exceeding 100 pounds).
- Sensory Requirements: Ability to perceive and discriminate colors, sounds, depth, visual cues, and communicate orally.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to dirt, dust, temperature extremes, electric currents, or toxic agents/chemicals may occur.
