About the role
The Community Services Department encompasses the Library, Sherwood Center for the Arts, Marjorie Stewart Senior/Community Center, the Sherwood Old Town Field House operations, volunteer services, field and gym scheduling, and the coordinating and planning of various cultural activities and events. The department is responsible for planning and implementing recreation and cultural activities, volunteer services, and coordinating events such as Music on the Green and acting as a liaison to the YMCA and other community groups. The Marjorie Stewart Senior Center is seeking friendly volunteers to assist with weekday non‑contact delivery of prepared meals to seniors in Sherwood.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared, packaged meals to seniors via non‑contact drop‑off.
- Cover local Sherwood routes, including some rural Sherwood areas.
Requirements
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
- Personal vehicle capable of transporting two large coolers.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Completion of basic orientation and training (provided).
- Obtain an Oregon Food Handlers Card (online, with instructions provided).

Schedule
Approximately one hour per week, one day scheduled; additional days available if your schedule permits.
