About the role

The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for assisting customers in obtaining parts accurately and efficiently to ensure all orders scheduled are delivered safely and timely to the customer's satisfaction.

Job Duties

  • Safely operate delivery van and keep a clean driving record.
  • Aids customers in placing orders, including:
    • Determining parts needed by analyzing information/description provided by the customer.
    • Providing price quotes and the information requested by the customer.
    • Checking parts computer for stock items and initiating special orders if necessary.
    • Converting or cross-referencing parts numbers.
  • Documents deliveries accurately and follows processes to ensure audit rules are followed.
  • Loads and unloads delivery van with parts identified for customers and delivers parts to customers.
  • Represents W.W. Williams positively and professionally to customers and the public.

Work Experience & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6+ months of equivalent combination education, training, and experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailer parts.
  • Basic knowledge of heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance/repair business and the ability to learn mechanical terminology.
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
