Delinquency Control Counselor

About the role

We're looking for a Collections Specialist to join our team. You'll connect with members about their financial needs, help them find solutions, and make a real impact.

Responsibilities

• Connect with members regarding past-due consumer loan and credit card accounts in the early stages of delinquency (1–30 days past due).
• Provide outstanding customer service while helping members understand their options and develop payment solutions.
• Use active listening and critical thinking skills to identify needs and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Manage a high-volume call environment, handling both inbound and outbound communication.
• Navigate multiple computer systems efficiently to document interactions and track account activity.
• Deliver empathetic, professional, and solution-focused support during every member interaction.
• Meet performance goals in a dynamic, results-driven environment.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in collections, customer service, sales, or call center environments is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general computer applications.
• Ability to work efficiently with multiple software systems.
