Deli Manager

About the role

The Deli Manager plays a key role in leading deli operations and ensuring all company standards, policies, and food safety regulations are met. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-focused environment, managing inventory and food costs, and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team that delivers friendly, efficient, and high-quality service.
• Oversee all deli operations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, and waste control to meet company and financial goals.
• Analyze sales and financial data to identify opportunities and improve profitability.
• Ensure food quality, freshness, and proper product presentation at all times.
• Schedule and supervise deli staff to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
• Maintain vendor relationships and verify order accuracy and product quality.
• Support a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by conducting regular inspections.
• Model professional behavior, uphold company policies, and perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Must be able to stand during the entire work shift.
• Must be able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 35 degrees for up to 30 minutes.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have visual acuity to check identification and process money orders.
• Must be able to tolerate gas fumes and cleaning products.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to clean windows.
