Deli Department Manager

Position Overview The Deli Manager oversees all functions of the Deli Department to meet sales and profit targets, ensuring efficient staffing and operations for the store's financial success. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies on safety and sanitation.Achieve financial goals by maximizing sales and gross profit while minimizing shrink and supply costs.Accurately take customer orders and fulfill weekly supply orders to maintain stock levels.Maintain proper product processing, preparation, packaging, and a clean, sanitary work environment.Handle departmental paperwork and oversee hiring, training, development, and scheduling of Deli staff.Perform tasks assigned by higher management without travel requirements. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent.2-5 years of retail or Deli operations experience preferred.Basic computer skills, ability to read, write, perform basic math.Physical abilities including standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling loads up to 100 lbs, and sensory skills like tasting and smelling.Ability to lead staff and operate deli equipment safely. This role requires strong leadership, customer service, and operational skills to ensure department success.
