Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities
- Handle stressful situations effectively
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Manage inventory and prepare food to company standards
- Prepare and package deli/bakery/bistro items according to customer requests
- Offer product samples and inform customers of specials
- Ensure proper temperatures and maintain inventory
- Report discrepancies and safety issues
- Follow food safety regulations and guidelines
- Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Desired: Retail experience
- Desired: Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
- Minimum ability to handle stressful situations
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
Qualifications
- Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
