Deli Associate

About the role

We are hiring a Deli Associate for our Earlington, KY location. This position requires flexibility to work various hours, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Meet company standards of quality, safety, cleanliness, and hospitality to provide the most satisfactory food possible.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during high-volume periods or unusual events to uphold store standards and set a positive example.
• Follow operational policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols, to ensure the well-being of all employees each shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
• Demonstrate patience and provide exemplary customer service consistently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to lift heavy products (up to 40 pounds) and work in a standing position for long hours.
• Operating knowledge of weighing scales, cash registers, and slicers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and regulations regarding food safety and sanitation.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Basic math and computation skills.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with co-workers and managers.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Capability to work in environments with smoke, fumes, steam, and other airborne particles.
• Safe handling, operation, and control of hot equipment and products.
• Ability to work at a pace consistent with changing business volume and demands.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
