About the role

Support Headquarters, Air Force Material Command’s Deficiency Reporting, Investigation and Resolution (DRI&R) office in A4/10-EN at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HQ AFMC/A4/10 Office of Primary Responsibility in managing the DRI&R Program and coordinating program activities across the Air Force enterprise.
  • Administer and support JDRS activities, including processing user requests, submitting functional requirements, managing organizational units and user access, and coordinating meetings, training, and configuration-control activities.
  • Collaborate with Air Force organizations, other military services, DLA, DCMA, AFMC depots and centers, and the broader JDRS user community to resolve functional, procedural, policy, and system-related issues.
  • Identify system, sustainment, and capital-improvement requirements for the DRI&R database and supporting tools.
  • Recommend/coordinate program changes and maintain documents in accordance with TO 00-35D-54.
  • Identify DRI&R training needs, support the development and maintenance of training materials, and monitor training-program progress.
  • Develop program analyses/performance metrics to assess effectiveness.
  • Analyze and standardize Air Force enterprise business processes by identifying gaps, redundancies, trends, and process weaknesses. Recommend improvements for Government consideration.

Requirements

  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • Master’s Degree and ten (10) years’ experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed.
    • Bachelor’s degree and twelve (12) years’ experience.
    • High School Diploma and fifteen (15) years’ of directly related experience.
  • Must have at least five (5) years’ experience with the AF DRI&R process.
  • Must have experience with the Joint Deficiency Reporting Systems (JDRS).
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
