Defense System Analyst

About the Role

As a defense mission professional, you’ll bring your analytical, cybersecurity, and risk management expertise to work on projects that keep our nation safe. You’ll identify, analyze, and evaluate complex and highly sensitive systems, policies, processes, and instrumentation related to foreign threats and homeland security. You will determine procedures for solving complex design, integration, and analytical problems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity and risk management activities, including continuous monitoring, change management, vulnerability assessments, and compliance inspections.
• Administer systems and engineering tasks such as configuration control, security patch management, system health monitoring, and troubleshooting hardware and software interfaces.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades, manage COMSEC accounts, and provide Tier 1/2 troubleshooting reports for enterprise users.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, enabling mission success through national security, strategic planning, and defense mission planning.
• Guide solutions for complex design, integration, and analytical problems.

Requirements

• Experience conducting security lifecycle operations.
• Experience with configuration control management.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and risk management framework.
• Knowledge of system troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Ability to conduct hardware and software lifecycle support.
• Top Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED and 5+ years of experience with IT systems and cybersecurity, or Bachelor's degree in IT.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with change management.
• Experience with Top Secret and SAP Networks.
• Experience with COMSEC handling and custody.
• Experience with VTC and Help Desk Operations.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Change Management Certification.
• COMP TIA A+ completion.

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

• Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
• Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance is required.
