Defense Sector Private Equity Associate/Vice President

About the Role

Crow Holdings seeks a seasoned private investment professional to drive the strategic and operational aspects of our investment activity, with a focus on building our new defense vertical. This high-visibility role will be based in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio aligned with strategic industry considerations, reflecting the firm’s broader reach, access, and market position
• Focus on direct investing with activities based on the deployment of firm capital, as opposed to a fund management model
• Initially invest in direct minority and influence investments, developing relevant focus and expertise to scale sector investments over time
• Primary focus on mid and lower middle market opportunities
• Collaborate extensively to build and enhance the firm’s presence within the defense industry landscape
• Utilize a patient approach to develop the platform over time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required
• 5-10 years of relevant investment experience
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within the investment community
• Patient and deliberate decision-maker
• Collaborative and team-oriented
• Driven to build an important business activity for the firm
• Engaged in the broader Dallas business and civic community while maintaining national insights and connectivity
• Ability to cultivate trust and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders; effectively represent the culture, interests, and priorities of the firm
• Excellent communicator with ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Represent the company with the highest level of integrity; professional and diplomatic in all actions
• Demonstrate continuous curiosity, engagement, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence
• Domestic and international travel may be required
