Defense Mission Expert, Lead

About the role

The Defense Mission Expert, Lead role requires extensive experience with USSF or USAF acquisition processes, DoD 5000.02 and DoD 5000.74 processes, and SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite. You will collaborate with Financial Management of the Systems Command to plan for out-year funding and support Government Budget Analysts with the Presidents’ Budget, Budget Estimate Submission, and Spend Plan management.

Responsibilities

• Provide acquisition expertise to the United States Space Force.
• Write budgetary artifact documents for the PPBE process to submit to leadership for Congressional budget requests via NDAA and Defense Budget appropriations.
• Develop and document acquisition strategies for USSF, including ASD, Market Research, J&A, ASP briefings, and other strategic documentation.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement of USSF acquisition processes.
• Develop and maintain acquisition templates and training materials.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with USSF or USAF acquisition processes.
• Experience executing DoD 5000.02 and DoD 5000.74 processes.
• Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience communicating with contractors on behalf of the Government and working in the client environment.
• Knowledge of enterprise issues and FAR, DFARS, and AFFARS regulations.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to clearly brief any level of leadership and provide constructive and actionable feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.

Skills

• Experience with Space Systems Center (SSC) acquisition processes.
• Experience supporting USAF, USSF, and SSC budget planning and execution processes.
• Experience with DoD project management, acquisition, and sustainment.
• Experience with sustainment acquisition activities.
• Knowledge of Launch Test Range Systems (LTRS).
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possession of excellent client relationship skills.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
