About the role
As a Defense Mission Expert on our U.S. Space Force (USSF) team, you'll bring your expertise to work alongside thought leaders in science, software development and deployment, and Joint military operations on projects for multiple domains, multiple services, and multiple Combatant Commands.
Responsibilities
- Use your skills and expertise to directly engage warfighters on their needs and ensure incorporation into updated software development pipelines.
- Engage with U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force warfighters.
- Provide foundational knowledge on the operational environment and adversary capabilities.
- Conduct Joint Force problem analysis.
- Advise on USSF service-provided solutions.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to work, anticipating needs and addressing challenges proactively.
- Seek opportunities for improvement and contribute innovative ideas to drive team success.
Requirements
- Experience at a Maritime Operations Center (MOC) or Air Operations Center.
- Experience at service component headquarters.
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to brief a variety of defense audiences, including senior military, civilian, and contractor.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Nice if you have:
- Experience in Joint or Service-level Exercise Planning.
- Experience as a USN Surface Warfare Officer.
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Confluence and Jira.
- Experience in Test & Evaluation.
- Experience at Joint or Coalition headquarters and operations center.
- Experience in Acquisition and Development Lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in physics preferred, Master’s degree a plus.
- Graduate of Navy’s Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS) service advanced staff school.
- Graduate of USN Weapons and Tactics Instructor service advanced instructor training.
Qualifications
- Completion of USN Naval Command & Staff service staff school or Airforce equivalent.

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
