About the role
Responsible for managing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and adherence to health and safety standards. Oversee inventory management and staff scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Oversee inventory management to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Plan and execute staff schedules to meet operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on best practices and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Experience with kitchen equipment and food safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Valid Food Handlers Certification.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management software.
