Deep Foundation Technician - Land

About the role
The Deep Foundation Technician is tasked with performing standard observations of pile driving operations following preset procedures. This includes visual inspection of pile immediately prior to installation, verification of pile location, observation of installation, and documentation of driving resistance through record of blows per foot of penetration of pile.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
- Review pile rig for information necessary for documentation procedures.
- Oversee pile installation records while tracking the pile completion work.
- Prepare all documentation for presentation to appropriate Client.
- Assist in carrying out the tasks associated with the Quality Program by forwarding pile-driving documentation to management for review and submission to Client to determine if the piles are acceptable as driven or if remedial measures are required.
- Must be able to work variable schedules, able to work 14 hours or more per day, up to 70 to 80 hours per week.
- Be able to travel extensively (required), both domestically and internationally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Construction Materials Certification or Technical School education preferred.
- Currently hold a valid State Driver’s License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Knowledge of pile driving procedures and familiarity with pile driving equipment; experience or pile driving monitoring knowledge is a plus.
- Possesses or be able to obtain a valid passport; possible international travel/assignments may be required.
