Dedicated Team Driver - Home Weekly

About the role

Team drivers at XPO are responsible for running loads between XPO facilities for pickup and drop-off, working with fellow XPO employees, navigating various routes, maintaining CMV safety, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate various tractor-trailer combinations over long distances in a typical 5-day work week away from home
• Operate the vehicle safely within DOT regulations
• Operate all internal freight transportation work tools and required systems
• Team Drivers are required to: lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.), safely climb in/out of tractor cab/trailer, sit for extended periods in a truck tractor, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel, properly operate a handheld device

Requirements

• Be a member of an existing team
• Able to partner with another driver in a sleeper tractor on extended runs
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have a valid Class A commercial driver’s license
• Have a working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
• Safe driving record and history
• Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOT physical
• Available to work away from home in a five-day work week
• Possess hazardous materials, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements

Qualifications

• Team driving or over-the-road experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and team members
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and cooperation

Benefits

• Weekly pay
• Mileage pay of $0.974 per mile, split between each driver ($0.487 per mile) for all tasks related to the completion of the load
• Hourly pay of $35.42 for en route waiting times of more than an hour due to traffic, construction or weather-related delays

Pay

• Weekly pay
• Mileage pay of $0.974 per mile, split between each driver ($0.487 per mile) for all tasks related to the completion of the load
• Hourly pay of $35.42 for en route waiting times of more than an hour due to traffic, construction or weather-related delays

Schedule

• Typical schedule is 5 days on, 2 days off
