General Purpose
Operate a truck and tanker, tractor-trailer, for two weeks at a time without home time, which may require completing 34-hour resets while away from home domicile. Pick up or deliver products in a safe and timely manner to customers, distributors, etc., according to the delivery route schedule as determined by the dispatcher or supervisor. Demonstrate high standards of customer service. Communicate frequently with peers, dispatchers, supervisors, and others.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations, and policies, adhering to all safety practices
- Deliver products or assets according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations in a safe and timely manner
- Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel
- Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns
- Based on route design, load and unload product as required at designated stops (varies from route to route)
- Communicate effectively and maintain good relations with customers and report any problems to dispatch, the supervisor or the manager
- Avoid damage to the vehicle and cargo by following loading and unloading procedures
- Maintain and properly operate assigned vehicles and equipment used (tires, fuel, oil check, etc.)
- Maintain a clean vehicle
- Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly each day
- Complete all daily logs and trip records according to company policy and DOT guidelines
- Perform load inventory and document condition of freight before departure
- Attend all driver workshops and training sessions
Requirements
- Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
- 1 year CDL-A driving experience w/in last 5 years
- Must pass DOT Medical exam
- Must pass drug & alcohol clearing house
- 21 years of age
- Meet MVR requirements
- Must meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records
- Must meet all DOT requirements
- Certification and/or License - valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement; some drivers may be required to have a doubles endorsement

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 or more years of experience driving a tractor trailer, straight truck, or doubles trailer, within the last 5 years preferred
- Meet minimum age requirements
- Able to read, write and speak English
