Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth (THSW) is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital, serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff. It is a Pathway to Excellence® designated hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required upon hire (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred)
  • 1+ years of Finance or Accounting experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • 1+ years of Decision Support experience preferred
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or other relevant certification (e.g., HFMA) upon hire preferred
  • Strong PC literacy with full suite of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel spreadsheets with formulas and preparing and conducting PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience with relational database technology and the ability to run data reports and present in usable format

Responsibilities

  • Assist the hospital in navigating productivity and support decision-making for future finances and capital purchases
  • Perform financial analysis, data modeling, and data analysis using statistical techniques
  • Analyze variances to identify causes and implications
  • Participate in benchmarking efforts to measure and set goals for improving performance
  • Prepare and deliver decision support reports to both internal and external customers
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and PowerPoint presentations
  • Establish data accuracy and validity derived from a variety of systems
  • Work with ITS and other personnel to ensure proper utilization of data
  • Develop and lead training programs for new and current users of the decision support system
  • Explain clinical and quality-based decision support application topics
