Decedent Care Driver – Part-Time Hourly
About the role
The Center for Anatomical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire Hourly Decedent Care Drivers to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Aid Donated Body Program Staff with making removals and transport of donors from the place of death to UNT Health Fort Worth.
- Coordinate setup of courses and labs at UNT Health Fort Worth.
- Assist with general upkeep of the labs.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down in-house courses.
- Complete paperwork with Next of Kin (NOK).
- Assist with hands-on training on new hourly employees.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Texas driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Donated Body Programs.
- Previous transportation experience.
Physical Requirements
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
- Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces.
- Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools.
- Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Environmental Hazards
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Low temperatures.
- Noisy environments.
- Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
- Elevated temperatures.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts or vibration.
Work Schedule
Mondays - 3:00p-11:00pm, Wednesdays - 7:00am -3:00pm, availability to pick up shifts as needed.
