Deburrer- 2nd Shift

About the role

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Deburrer- 2nd Shift at our Los Angeles, CA facility!

Responsibilities

• Perform simple to moderate manual deburring with tight quality tolerances ranging from approximately .005 to .030
• Primarily deburrs part exterior, buffs and polishes
• Selects among various deburr tools, knives and equipment to correctly perform prescribed functions on drawing
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blue prints, customer specifications, internal drawings and procedures for parts
• Checks finish and/or flatness on lapped parts using required tools (Tropel Flatmaster, Profilometer, etc.)
• Visually inspect parts determining defects (i.e. machining operations, rust vs. heat-treat scale, etc.), advises Senior Deburr of issues
• Examine parts for completeness
• Maintain manufacturing productivity and safety standards

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position
• Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA facility will be considered for this position
• This position requires access to export-controlled information
• To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person

Preferred

• Currently attending trade or vocational school
• One (1) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Aerospace experience preferred
• One (1) years’ experience in machining, deburring, honing or lapping parts in a manufacturing environment
• Familiar with Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, TPM, Error Proofing, Standardized Work, Set up Reduction, Continuous Flow, and Pull
• PC computer skills (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, etc...) with ability to learn other programs
